BOSC (Bar of Social Conscience) is Brisbane’s first bar that donates 20% of its annual profits to local charities. The ethos of this little boozer is even captured in its design, as it has been built with recycled and upscaled timber.

This cosy watering hole encourages you to bring your own food. Plenty of takeaway restaurants are in the area, with some even delivering right to the bar. As for the booze, they offer a variety of Australian beers, a rotating selection of wines, seasonal cocktails and mocktails. Some small bites like cheese platters, sausage rolls and vegan pies are available.

9. Riverbar and Kitchen

Unfortunately, this dog-friendly bar in Brisbane was destroyed in the 2022 floods but has since been rebuilt to bring Brisbanites a riverside experience like no other. 

Their new menu focuses heavily on fresh local produce and includes gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Outdoor seating is aplenty, and pups are welcome to join the fun. 

The venue regularly hosts fun events, with some of their standouts being ‘Sea to the City’, which included a decadent seafood menu and ‘The House of the Peroni’, where Riverbar was transformed with live music, art and fashion. Make sure you follow their socials to get notified.
