Sydney’s Night Noodle Markets are back, and this time, there’s a dedicated day just for dogs!
After two years, the long-awaited Sydney Night Noodle Markets is back! And they’re cooking up a storm in a brand new location – Prince Alfred Park in Surry Hills! But the venue isn’t the only thing that’s changed; the markets are now open to dogs. Dogs will have their own dedicated event called the Night Poodle Markets – a one-day spectacle featuring a doggy fashion parade and exclusive goodies for dogs.
The Night Noodle Markets has captured the heart of Australians since 1998 for its knock-out Asian flavours, vibrant atmosphere, and Instagram-worthy dishes. The free festival will take Sydneysiders on a culinary adventure from Wednesday, 12th October to Sunday, 16th October. You and your furbaby can visit the markets after 5 pm from Wednesday-Friday and after 4 pm on Saturday-Sunday. The exclusive Night Poodle Markets will kick off at 5 pm on Sunday. While dogs are welcome to join in the fun all week long, they must always be on leash.
More than 20 stalls and pop-ups will be present, including crowd favourites; Gelato Messina, WonderBao, Hoy Pinoy, Mr Yum (Flying Noodles), Donut Papi and more! Cash won’t be accepted, so make sure your card is handy. QR codes are located at each stall with menus to save you the stress of queuing up. Parking will be limited, so try heading to Wilson Parking Station at 55 Holt Street before the crowds.
Food festivals can be full on, so we’ve wrapped up our top picks of things to do with your pup at this year’s Night Noodle Markets.
Strike a Pose at the Night Poodle Market’s Paw Parade
Calling all glamorous pooches! The Night Noodle Markets is hosting its first-ever dog fashion show. Dress your pup in their most fur-shionable fit and watch while they strut their stuff down a dazzling pink runway. The Paw Parade will take place on Sunday, 16th October at 5 pm. Don’t forget to pre-register your dog on the day to enter. Sydney Drag Queen Carmen Geddit will judge the four-legged entrants based on character and costume.
The lucky winner will take home a year’s supply of Scratch’s premium dog food. But don’t worry! No dog will be left empty-handed; there will be plenty of delicious pet food samples and freebies for pups to chow down on the day.
Give Your Dog the V.I.P Experience at Scratch Patch
Kick back and relax at Scratch Patch’s dedicated dog oasis, where your furry friend will receive the V.I.P treatment. Scratch, a brand of premium and healthy Australian dog food, sponsors this year’s Night Poodle Markets. Capture fur-bulous moments at their pooch photo wall or socialise with other pets and fur parents.
If you catch your furry friend eyeballing your piping hot noodles, Scratch has the paw-fect solution for you. Grab a free special edition doggy noodle box filled with delicious treats from Scratch – this will keep your furry companion energised and your noodles intact!

Go Mutts For Messina Gelato
Crowd favourite Messina Gelato is back for another year with a new look – a bright green ‘Jade Dragon Cafe’ stall inspired by the streets of Hong Kong. Messina won’t be just delivering on exquisite decor but three draw-dropping desserts exclusive only to the Night Noodle Markets.
First up on the menu is their HK French Toast, a dulce de leche and peanut butter french toast coated in cornflakes and topped with gelato. Followed by a remake of their 2015 NNM deep-fried gelato ball, Milo Fry Club, which features deep-fried milo gelato and messinatella. Last but not least, Mango Pancakes filled with Mango sorbet and vanilla chantilly, all wrapped in a mango crepe. Caution, these desserts may have you drooling more than your pup does!
The Floating Noodles You Never Knew You Needed
Whip out your camera and get ready to take a picture of Mr Yum’s iconic Flying Noodle dishes. This Instagram-worthy stall is whipping up their famous Flying Noodles with glazed honey soy chicken, prawns and pork belly. This blend of food and art will please both your palette and eyes.
Where There’s smoke, There’s Hoy Pinoy
Based in Melbourne, Hoy Pinoy is renowned for its Filipino barbeque and street food. You best believe they’ll be BBQing, smoking and roasting their way through this year’s Night Noodle Markets! While all their dishes are jam-packed with flavour, their Pork Belly Skewers in banana ketchup glaze are known to have won Sydneysider’s hearts and bellies.
Indulge in Glazey Goodness From Donut Papi
Did someone say doughnuts? The smell of these freshly baked goods will send you and your dog’s senses into delight. End your night on a high note and drop by Donut Papi for a sweet treat. Their ‘Orginal Mie Goreng Donut’ made from Idomie Mie Goreng noodles makes for a memorable dessert and picture.
Sip, Sip, Hooray!
Sip the day or night away at Gage Roads’ Beer Garden. Refresh your palette with a cold pint of Single Fin Summer Ale, Pipe Dreams Coastal Lager, and more! Fancy an Aperol with your pooch? Pop down to the Aperol Spritz Bar for a glass or two. Those opting for a non-alcholic drink can quench their thirst at Dan Murphy’s Zero% Bar. You’ll be transported straight into weekend mode with Salted Caramel Espresso Martini and Blood Orange Spritz cocktails.
